Liturgy

The monk’s life is punctuated by the liturgical services: Orthros (Matins), Sext, Vespers and Compline. The Divine Liturgy (Mass) is celebrated every Saturday and Sunday, and on feast days. These celebrations are opportunities to refocus on the one thing that is necessary: life in Christ. The liturgical year itself, centred on Great Lent, Holy Week and Easter, proclaims that Christ, through his death and resurrection, gives us life.
